G Forge officially began in the spring of 2020 when my world of horse showing came to a grinding halt due to Covid so I needed something to fill in some of that time. I had been a Forged in Fire fan for many years so had a general idea of how to build knives. I have been a farrier for many years so I have a great foundation with working with Steel. 

I began with some very simple equipment and many trials and errors. but being artsy and creative assists. 

My main focus is building Damascus steel which can vary from a few layers to hundreds depending on the effect you are looking for. Along with different layer counts Damascus can also have different patterns in the steel. Once the blade is complete, I then create different handles varying from different handles of different woods to antlers. 

The Knives we build range from steak knives, chef knives, filet knives, hunting knives, skinning knives, shoeing knives, kitchen knives, even swords and other unique requests. 

I do keep a few knives around but typically do custom orders and build everything to customer specifications.
